Feel free to grab a cup of coffee from the Fellowship Hall/Kitchen serving ledge downstairs before the service!  You are also invited to stay for a time of fellowship and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall after the service!

                                                      

TODAY’S MEETING

 9:30 A.M.  MORNING WORSHIP

THE REGULAR OFFERING will be received for the General Fund and the second offering will be for the DeMotte Work Team.

9:30 A.M.  CHILDREN’S CHURCH for kids 3 years old through 5th grade will meet in the Promiseland Area.

10:45 – 11:45 A.M.  SUNDAY SCHOOL for all ages.

(Parents:  please pick your child up in his/her classroom.)   

  3 yr. old – 12th grade will meet in their respective classrooms.

  EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY group will meet in the Consistory Room.

  CURRENT EVENTS:  A group that discusses current events will meet in the Cry Room.

  Nursery is available upon request. 

11:30 A.M.  CHRISTMAS CHOIR practice will be in the Sanctuary.       Open to anyone 3rd grade – senior adults!

5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  MOVEMENT YOUTH MINISTRY will be in the Fellowship Hall. 

6:00 P.M.  PRAYER MEETING/BIBLE STUDY will be in the Consistory Room.

WEEKLY MEETINGS

MONDAY – December 10

6:45 P.M.  DARTBALL:  Team #1 will be at DeMotte Christian.

7:00 P.M.  FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE will meet in the Consistory Room.

TUESDAY – December 11

6:00 P.M. & 7:15 P.M.  FAITHFIT YOGA will be in the Fellowship Hall.

WEDNESDAY – December 12

1:30 – 3:00 P.M.  NIFTY NEEDLES will meet in the Fireside Room. 

FAMILY NIGHT

§  DINNER will be served from 5:15 – 6:30.        

Menu:  ham, cheesy potato casserole, sweet potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad, fruit, ice cream

§  FOOD BACKPACKS will be stuffed in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00.

THURSDAY – December 13

1:00 – 7:00 P.M.  THE RED CROSS BLOODMOBILE will be in the Fellowship Hall.  Please call 1-800-REDCROSS to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome. 

 11:30 A. M.  HOPE CIRCLE CHRISTMAS PARTY will be at JoAnn Abbring’s house.

NEXT LORD’S DAY – December 16

   moved to Oak Grove on Friday.

♦ Judy Hood has developed sepsis and meningitis and is a patient in

    Porter Regional ICU.  Please keep Judy in prayer for a full

    recovery.

YOU ARE INVITED to join in a season of prayer leading up to Christmas.  We are asking God to bring revival, new life, and kingdom growth to our church, our community, our families, our region, and our world.  Each day will have a different focus:

 

Sunday:          Pray for our church

Monday:          Pray for your family

Tuesday:         Pray for our community

Wednesday:    Pray for our region

Thursday:       Pray for missionaries

Friday:            Pray for confession and forgiveness

Saturday        Free day (pray as you feel led)

 

We are eager to see how God will use this season of prayer to make a big Kingdom impact!

A JOYOUS CELEBRATION OF SONG will be led by our Sunday School kids (5th grade and younger) on December 16!  They will lift their voices in celebration of Christmas as a part of our morning worship service!  Don’t miss it!

WHITE CHRISTMAS OFFERING will be collected in Sunday School during the month of December.

A GROUP which discusses current events with Christian perspective will meet during Sunday School time in the Cry Room during the month of December.  Our first date is today.  All adults are welcome to join us! 

MOVEMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Movement Christmas Caroling Party Sunday, December 16.              4:00 – 7:00 P.M.  Please bring a snack and white elephant gift.

  • Movement will not meet on the Sundays of December 23 and 30.

  • Snacks tonight (Dec. 9):  Lindsay Zeldenrust

SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGERS NEEDED!  The KVMA is again this year coordinating a special mission of mercy outreach.  We will partner with the Salvation Army by placing a bucket at Tysen’s Grocery.  Our church has been asked to fill the bell ringer schedule for Sat., Dec. 22.  A signup sheet for one hour slots beginning at 9:00 A.M. and running through 7:00 P.M. is located by the kitchen.

WE WOULD like to thank everyone for the prayers, love, and cards sent to Chris in the last few weeks. Thank you to the Joy Circle for the generous monetary gift, the Nifty Needles for the beautiful prayer shawl & Mary's Sunday School class for the cards they've sent. We are so blessed to be part of such a wonderful church family.  God is so good!”
