A VOLUNTEER SIGN UP SHEET is posted by the kitchen for those who would like to volunteer for our next Mobile Food Pantry set for Friday, January 18. There are a couple ways you can help with this important ministry. We need volunteers to help that day with various jobs such as working in the kitchen, helping with registration, and helping clients carry food to their cars. Also, we need baked goods to serve. All help is so appreciated!
WE HAVE ANOTHER SOUP KITCHEN VOLUNTEER DATE: The soup kitchen in Michigan City has an opening on Saturday, January 12 for twelve people, over the age of seventeen, to help serve the homeless and hungry. If you would like to help, please sign the sheet by the kitchen. If you'd like to carpool we plan to leave church at 8:15 A.M. If you have questions or would like to drive to the soup kitchen yourself, contact Bob & Phyllis Belstra (987-2563) for the church address.
GLOVES AND STOCKING CAPS, preferably that can cover the face but any will be appreciated, are needed at the Homeless Shelters. There is a box in the front foyer (exterior door #8) as well as in the Fireside Room for your donations. Thank you in advance.
HELP US FIND A SEAT! J We’re looking for ushers to add to our usher schedule for 2019. If you’d like to lend a hand with this job, please contact Jeff Fase (219-712-9116).
CHILDREN’S CHURCH IS GROWING! God is doing great things in our Children’s Ministry and we want you to be a part of it! We are looking to add an additional group for our youngest children so that we can split our groups into smaller sizes and give this ministry more room to grow. This means we are looking for new leaders. We’ll need 6 more leaders and 6 more helpers. As soon as we get enough leaders in place for a 6 week rotation, we will get the additional group going. If you’re interested in learning more, contact Stacy Hoffman (219-869-8114 or office@demottearc.com).
