TUESDAY – July 27

10:00 A.M.  PRAYER FOR REVITALIZATION will take place in the Consistory Room.  Pastor Troy will lead a time of prayer (about 30 minutes) for the revitalization process of ARC.  We encourage all to             come participate!

THURSDAY – July 29

7:00 P.M.  THE TRANSITION TEAM will meet in the Consistory Room.  Please continue to pray for ARC’s revitalization process.  Members are Pastor Troy, Matt Kallemeyn, Dave Kampenga, Angela Myers, Tim Steinke, John Schultheis, Tim Zylstra, and Stacy Hoffman.

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

JACK & ANGIE HAMSTRA will be in the Consistory Room after worship to share further about their work with Missions Aviation Fellowship in Papua, Indonesia.  All are welcome to attend!

A NEW LIFE GROUP has formed for young adults for devotions, prayer, and fellowship.  The group includes singles and couples from college age to approximately early 30's, or whoever is interested in attending.  They began meeting last Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at the home of Kyle and Jill Kohlhagen.  You are welcome to come! See Kyle or Jill (219-863-1669) with any questions or for directions.

SAVE THE DATE!  The Annual ARC Golf Outing at Sandy Pines will be on Saturday, September 18.  Watch future bulletins for details.

TRAINING IS UNDERWAYWe are working hard to bring clean water to communities in need in underdeveloped countries through Team World Vision.  We will participate in the Indy Monumental Marathon on November 6 and appreciate all donations for clean water.  You can donate on behalf of a specific runner or give a gift to the ARC Team as a whole by designating gifts in the offering or going to teamworldvision.org and searching American Reformed Church.  You can also support us by keeping us in your prayers as we train and praying for all who are in desperate need of clean water.

BIBLE ADVENTURES videos and take-home sheets are available on our website!  This gives kids an opportunity to watch the video again at home or see videos they missed!  There are printable coloring pages for Pre-K/K and printable Take Home Sheets for 1st – 5th grade.  Visit demottearc.com and go to the Children’s Ministry page.  There, you will find a link to the content (please note that the content page is password protected; the password is “adventures”)  New lessons are posted weekly!

DMCS FOOD TRUCK FESTIVALDMCS is hosting a community-wide Food Truck Festival on Saturday, July 31, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Covenant Christian High School! Come eat some yummy food and fellowship with us before school starts! Proceeds benefit DMCS. Please park in the back lot.

 DMC & CCHS REGISTRATION DATE:  If you were not able to attend the July 22 student registration, come the evening of Tuesday, July 27, from 6:00 -8:0 P.M. to complete registration of your child(ren).  This registration night is intended for ALL parents of DMC and CCHS students enrolled for the 2021-2022 school year.  It allows parents to complete necessary forms, pick up vital information, ask questions, make financial arrangements, etc.  All parents must plan to attend one of these evenings. If you have children at both schools, you will need to visit both schools.

DMCS SEEKING INSTRUCTORSDue to an increasing enrollment, DeMotte Christian Schools is in search of a full-time Junior High OR High School teacher. The position would primarily be English Language Arts while also having the ability to teach either geometry, Spanish, and/or physical education. Applicants must hold at least a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, agree fully with the school's statement of beliefs, be an active member of a church with a Reformed persuasion, and demonstrate the ability to teach children well. Although it is not a requirement, it is preferred that this candidate would possess leadership qualities or a special education background. CCHS CONSTRUCTION CLASS POSITION:  Covenant Christian High School is looking for someone in the construction field to teach a Construction class during the first period of the day.  The goal is to find someone that cannot only share information needed for the construction field, but also allow for some visits to worksites where students may be able to get some hands-on experience in the field.  If you are interested, please contact CCHS Principal, Rick DeFries at (219) 987-7651 or by cell phone at (574) 242-0313.  He can also be reached by email at rdefries@dmcsemail.org.  

FULL-TIME LOWER ELEMENTARY TEACHER FOR 2021-2022
