ANNOUNCEMENTS

CHURCH MEDIA COMMITTEE has had flying fingers this week on Facebook and Instagram.  Have you checked out the pages?  Give us a like or follow, maybe even share.  We are still looking for content writers.  We are looking for people who “do Facebook and Instagram” websites, write well for information, photography and so much more.  If you have a passion to connect community to Christ and his church than we will find a place for you on our team.  We are meeting today for more information in the Library after church.
DO YOU HAVE INFORMATION about your group, meeting, or committee you would like help publicizing?  We would be glad to get the word out any way you wish. Please email any information or pictures to the Media Committee at media@demottearc.com.

VBS 2018 is coming and we once again need your help to make it a success!  This year’s theme is "Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus" and the dates are June 11-15.  We have 10 leadership positions to fill and we need 20 adults and 20 high school age teens to serve as crew leaders.  There is a sign-up table in the Fellowship Hall this morning where you can get more information and also sign up.  Sign up to help us make this year's VBS the best yet!!

IMPACT STUDENTS:  Mark your calendar!  There will be a SuperBowl Party on Sunday, February 4.  Weather-permitting, we will be skiing on Saturday, February 10.  More details to come!

THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE will meet this Wednesday in the Consistory Room at 6:30 P.M.  We would like to invite not only regular members of the committee, but also members of the sub-committees including the Music, Children’s Church, Nursery, Usher, and Audio Visual Committees. The names we have for these committees are Teresa Evers, Joni Zylstra, Stacy Hoffman, Amber Hart, Marie Hilton, Heather Veld, Tim Sietsma, Jeff Fase, Dave Kampenga, and Bob Bakker.   If you belong to one of these sub-committees and don’t see your name listed, we invite you to come. Regular members of the Worship Committee are:  Ryan Kohlhagen, John Roorda, John Abbring, Jason Whitt, Mike Veld, Diane Ottinger, Kathy Bult, Donna Ooms, and Ron Evers.

BACKPACK MINISTRY BLANKETS were delivered to students this past Friday.  Thank you so much for your donations!  We currently need 70 MORE BLANKETS to ensure we have enough for our next Mobile Pantry on February 16.  We are in need of (new or homemade) full or queen size blankets or throw blankets that are large and warm.  Please set them on the Fellowship Hall stage by Wednesday, February 14.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEER SIGN UP is posted by the kitchen for those that would like to volunteer for our next Mobile Food Pantry set for Friday, February 16.  There are a couple ways you can help with this important ministry.  We need volunteers to help that day with various jobs such as working in the kitchen, helping with registration, and helping clients carry food to their cars.  Also, we need baked goods to serve.  All help is so appreciated!

THANK YOU: “We would like to say thank you for the recent financial gift that was designated for us in the offering.  We appreciate your thoughtfulness.”  – Sam & Carol Sietsma
