We are excited to invite women post-high school and above to a women's retreat on April 12-13 at Connect Christian Camp and Retreat Center in Crown Point.  We will explore what it looks like to ground our identity in Christ and allow that reality to permeate every aspect of our lives.  The retreat will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Friday and conclude at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday.  The cost is $45.  If you have more questions, come see us in the Fellowship Hall after worship.  We have additional information and registration forms and would love to answer any questions you may have.

COOKS NEEDED!  We are looking for a couple of people to prepare the Wednesday Night Dinner on March 6.  Our regular cook, Tammy Szostek, can help plan the meal.  If you can help out in this way, please contact Tammy at 219-895-1334.

ATTENTION CAMPERS!  We are looking to bring the church campout  back!  There is a sign up sheet by the Fellowship Hall where you can sign up if you’re interested and give ideas of where you’d like to camp.  We will go from there with planning a fun weekend!  Questions?  Speak with Leslie Tysen.

WE ARE GETTING READY FOR VBS 2019!  This year’s theme is “ROAR!” and we believe God will do something huge this year at VBS.  We need help though.  We are looking for some individuals that would love to be involved in leadership for this year’s VBS in June.  If you have administrative skills and a passion for children knowing Jesus, we’d love to talk.  If you feel like you would like to help in this role or would like more information please talk to Pastor Rob or call him at church during office hours.  Don’t miss this opportunity to be a blessing.

EASTER FLOWERS are ready to be ordered!  Every Easter, we decorate our Sanctuary with flowers which can be purchased in memory or honor of a loved one.  After the Easter Sunday Service, you are welcome to take your flower home.  They are available in many varieties this year:  Tulips ($9.50), Hyacinth ($9.50), Daffodils ($9.50), Lilies ($10.50), Azaleas ($17.00), Mums ($10.00).  Order forms are in your mailboxes today.  Additional forms are in the kitchen window.  Please return them to Jerry & Diane Veld’s mailbox by Sunday, March 17.

BRING BACK THE ARC NEWSLETTER:  We’ve had some requests to bring back this informative newsletter about things going on in our church family.  Typical article topics would include youth activities, getting to know new members, mission trips, pastor columns, etc. We are looking for committee members to help with gathering information, writing articles, and most importantly, we are looking for an editor who will oversee the committee and delegate tasks.  If this is something you’re interested in, please contact Roy Gouwens or Stacy Hoffman for more information.

WE’VE HOSTED our first two Mobile Food Pantries of 2019.  Many families were blessed by the food and kindness of our volunteers.  We will host our last two pantries for this year in September and November.  The price of hosting has increased this year with each pantry date now costing $1,500.  If you would like to help offset the cost, you are welcome to designate financial gifts in the offering.  Thank you for your support!

MARSH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DONATIONS:  There is still time to get your donations in!  The students at this elementary school are in great need and this is an excellent opportunity for our church to reach out and show our love to these students!  Items will be collected on the table in the Fellowship Hall throughout the month of February.  Additional sheets with info are on the table in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you!  Questions?  Contacts Emma Grube at (219) 869-2100.
