2019 Believe Trip Report
Written by Katlyn Kohlhagen
The 2019 Believe Movement trip was held in Springfield, IL. This trip was for middle school students and six of them were privileged to attend. The theme this year was “I Am”. The main focus was about discovering who God made you to be. Pastor Rob was one of the leaders that supervised during the trip and he said, “Thousands of students showed up to hear that they are God’s masterpiece, they are the church, they are God’s child and they are a Kingdom worker.”
6th grader, Luke Bayci was one of the students who attended the Believe trip. I asked Luke what impacted him while he was on the trip and he shared, “The part of the Believe trip that impacted me the most was during the car ride. I called a celebrity ugly and Sue Steinke told me that no one is ugly because God created them. I haven’t called anyone ugly since then.”
Every service had powerful, passionate worship and included a special presentation from rapper KJ-52, magician Zak Mirzadeh and speaker Heather Flies. 6th grader Allie Myers enjoyed the trip and told me, “I had an amazing time at Believe and I am definitely doing it again next year! Thank you Tim, Sue, and Pastor Rob for the amazing time.”
The Believe trip impacted many students by giving them a life changing experience. As Pastor Rob concluded, “We are thankful to all who supported and prayed for Movement and we look forward to see what fruits come from this trip.”
