9:30 A.M.  MORNING WORSHIP

THE REGULAR OFFERING will be received for the General Fund and the second offering will be for DeMotte Christian Schools, Inc.

9:30 A.M.  CHILDREN’S CHURCH for kids 3 years old through 5th grade will meet in the Promiseland Area.

10:45 – 11:45 A.M.  SUNDAY SCHOOL for all ages.

(Parents:  please pick your child up in his/her classroom.)   

  3 yr. old – 12th grade will meet in their respective classrooms.

  CURRENT EVENTS:  A group that discusses current events will meet in the Cry Room.

  Nursery is available upon request. 

5:00 – 6:00 P.M.  MOVEMENT YOUTH MINISTRY will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

MONDAY – April 8

1:00 P.M.  HOPE CIRCLE will meet in the Fireside Room.  Lucile Bozell will lead the lesson, Lorri Owsley will have devotions/spiritual life thought, and Pennie Martin and JoAnn Abbring will host.

7:00 P.M.  FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE will meet in the Consistory Room.  Members are:  Eric KeKock, Allan Ooms, Mitch Kingma, Jorie Wireman, Bonnie Sanow, Kristi Walstra, Maryann Mehan, Brian DeKock, Steve & Sue Daniels, Kevin & Christy Nelms, Kevin Broertjes.

TUESDAY – April 9

6:30 P.M.  FAITHFIT YOGA will be in the Fellowship Hall.

WEDNESDAY – April 10

1:30 – 3:00 P.M.  NIFTY NEEDLES will meet in the Fireside Room.

FAMILY NIGHT

  DINNER is served from 5:15 – 6:30. Menu: pulled pork, potato salad, macaroni salad, tossed salad, chips

  FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY will meet in the Consistory Room from 6:00 – 7:30.

  FOOD BACKPACKS will be stuffed in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00.

THURSDAY – April 11

4:00 P.M.  VBS WORK NIGHT will be in the Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome to come and help!  We plan to have tracing, cutting and possibly some painting jobs.  Come when you can!

FRIDAY – April 12

6:00 P.M.  “IN CHRIST, SHE…”  WOMEN’S RETREAT will be at Connect Christian Camp.  It will run through 4:00 P.M. on Saturday.

SATURDAY – April 13

6:00 – 7:30 A.M.  MEN’S LIFE will meet in the Fireside Room.

NEXT LORD’S DAY – April 14 – Palm Sunday

EASTER IS COMING!  Below is our Holy Week and Easter Schedule.  They will all be special services that you won’t want to miss!

  • Palm Sunday Worship:             Next Sunday at 9:30 A.M. 

  • Maundy Thursday Service:  Thursday, April 18 at 7:00 P.M.

  • Easter Sunday:  Worship at 9:30 A.M.  Donuts will be served in the Fellowship Hall after worship. 

  • Easter Egg Hunt:  Sunday School for Pre-K through 5th grade will be released early (11:15) that morning for an Easter Egg Hunt.  Parents are invited to meet kids outside at that time.

 WE ARE TURNING 100!  Next Year, ARC will be celebrating its 100th year since being founded in 1920!  A committee has formed to help us celebrate.  Stay tuned.

HELP GET CAMP MANITOQUA READY for their 2019 camp season!  Every year, a group from ARC goes to Manitoqua for a day and works on projects to help prepare the grounds for the summer.  The work day for this year is Saturday, April 27, 9:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.  Lunch is provided.  If you are interested in coming along, please contact Chuck Liebbe at (219) 741-7461. 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION OPENS TODAY!

  • This year’s theme is "Roar:  Life is Wild, God is Good" and the dates are June 10-14.  We look forward to having you join the fun!  Register your kids or register to volunteer at demottearc.com or pick up a paper registration downstairs on your way to coffee.  Crew Leaders and Assistants are needed and welcome to register!  

  • Stop and check out the donation tags on the bulletin board on your way to the Fellowship Hall.  Many items are needed!  So, please take a tag.  Thanks!  J

OUR FIRST VBS WORK NIGHT is set for this Thursday beginning at 4:00 P.M.  Come when you can and help us get started with our VBS décor projects!  All help is so appreciated!  This Thursday will be a night of cutting and tracing and possibly painting if we are able to get to it. 

START SAVING your paper towel tubes for VBS!  We will need many!  There will be a drop point in the Fellowship Hall next week.

ANNUAL SPRING RUMMAGE SALE:  Covenant Christian High School invites everyone to its Spring Rummage Sale on April 27, from 9am – 1pm in the school gym.  Come shop for some great bargains for $7 per bag from 9am – 12pm and just $2 per bag from 12-1 pm.  If you have any gently used items you wish to donate to the sale, they can be brought in through the back door at school on Thursday, April 25 from 2pm – 5pm, OR bring them in through the front door of school on Friday, April 26, from 8am – 2pm.  If you would like to volunteer to help set up on Friday, please call the CCHS main office at 219-987-7651.  Thank you!

ANNUAL SOCIETY MEETING:  DeMotte Christian Schools, Inc. strongly encourages you to attend the Annual Society Meeting on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:00pm at Covenant Christian High School

·   Society members will vote on the proposed advisory budget and new Board members.  The bylaws require that a member “be 18 years of age or older and have individually contributed a minimum of $50 to the school corporation in the 13 months prior to the publication of the agenda.”

·   If submitting an absentee ballot for Board member elections, a member must complete the election ballot and the member affirmation statement, place in a sealed envelope, sign the outside, and turn in to either school offices.

·   Society booklets will be available in the DMC and CCHS main offices.

CCHS THEATRE INVITATION:  Covenant Christian High School Theatre will present “The Music Man” on April 12 & 13 at 7:30pm.  The Music Man contains some of the most well-known and best-loved songs in a musical theatre, and is a family-friendly show.  Admission is by free will donation at the door; please join us!
