WE WILL CELEBRATE COMMUNION during worship.

THE REGULAR OFFERING will be received for the General Fund and the second offering will be for Oak Grove Christian Retirement.

9:30 A.M.  CHILDREN’S CHURCH for kids 3 years old thru 5th Grade.

10:45 – 11:30 A.M.  SUNDAY SCHOOL for all ages.

(Parents:  please pick your child up in his/her classroom.)   

  3 yr. old – 12th grade will meet in their respective classrooms.

  Young Adult Class will meet in the Consistory Room.

  An adult class on sharing your faith will meet in the Fireside Room.

  Nursery is available upon request. 

4:00 P.M.  MOVEMENT WORSHIP PRACTICE:  Singers for the week are Kate, Hope and Keegan.  Cooper will be on guitar, Ryder on box drum.

5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  MOVEMENT will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

5:30 – 7:00 P.M.  DISCIPLESHIP ESSENTIALS BIBLE STUDY will meet in the Promiseland Area.  Nursery is available.

6:00 P.M.  BIBLE STUDY will be in the Consistory Room.

7:00 P.M.  PARENT/STUDENT meeting for Believe trip.

 

WEEKLY MEETINGS

MONDAY – March 2

1:00 P.M.  FELLOWSHIP CIRCLE will meet in the Fireside Room.  Donna Knip will lead the lesson, Karen Lolkema will have devotions and host.

6:30 P.M.  DARTBALL:  Team #2 will be in the Fellowship Hall.

6:45 P.M.  DARTBALL:  Team #1 will be at Faith Lutheran.

7:00 P.M.  CONSISTORY will meet in the Consistory Room.  Those who would like to request baptism or make profession of faith in Christ are invited to meet with the elders at 7:30 P.M.

TUESDAY – March 3

6:30 P.M.  FAITHFIT YOGA will be in the Fellowship Hall.

WEDNESDAY – March 4

4:45 P.M.  BACKPACKS for our Backpack Food Ministry will be stuffed in the Fireside Room.

5:15 – 6:30 P.M.  FAMILY NIGHT DINNER will be served in the Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome!  Dinner is by free will donation.    Menu: pork roast, potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, applesauce, and bar cookies

6:15 – 7:00 P.M.  SHARING YOUR FAITH CLASS will meet in the Fireside Room.

SATURDAY – March 7

6:00 – 7:30 A.M.  MEN’S LIFE will meet in the Fireside Room.  Each week, men meet to learn from God’s Word, have great fellowship and sharing, and spend time in prayer.  All men are welcome to join us.

NEXT LORD’S DAY – March 8

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Jesus did and said things that got people's attention.  People were often talking about what they heard Him say or saw Him do.  These things could be described as SCANDALOUS.  Join us this spring for a series of messages that explore the scandalous things Jesus said and did.  This series begins today and will run through April 12.

MOVEMENT PARENT AND STUDENT MEETING for Believe will be at 7:00 P.M. tonight.

TODAY IS THE DEADLINE to get your Easter Flower order turned in.  Every Easter, we decorate our Sanctuary with flowers which can be purchased in memory or honor of a loved one.  After the Easter Sunday Service, you are welcome to take your flower home.  They are available in many varieties this year:  Tulips ($9.50), Hyacinth ($9.50), Daffodils ($9.50), Lilies ($10.50), Azaleas ($17.00), Mums ($10.00).  Order forms are in the kitchen window.  Please return them to Jerry & Diane Veld’s mailbox TODAY

REMEMBER to set your clocks an hour ahead next weekend for daylight savings time!

EQUIPPING OURSELVES for God’s use to lead others to Christ is the focus of a new class meeting at ARC.  You can choose to attend Sunday mornings (during Sunday School time) or Wednesday evenings running now through the week of April 5 in the Fireside Room.  Witnessing topics:  overcoming objections, your personal testimony, the sinner’s prayer, how to get started questions. Salvation plans:  wordless book, Roman Road, 4 Spiritual Laws, Navigators Bridge. The class is led by Pastor Troy and Roy Gouwens.  All are welcome!

CHECK OUT FAITHFIT YOGA!                           FaithFit Yoga's mission is to provide a faith-based atmosphere to promote health, happiness, and well-being in our community. The body is the temple and we strive to nurture our health while bringing our participants closer to Christ through yoga. FaithFit is led by Christy Nelms, a registered yoga alliance 200-hour instructor and a physical therapist.  Newcomers are welcome.  Classes are held on Tuesday nights in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 P.M.  You can buy a single class for $8 or an 11 class pass for $80!

WE’RE STILL LOOKING FOR YOUR STORIES and/or memories about your time at ARC.  How old were you when you first came to ARC?  Have you worshipped here all your life or just been here a few years or even months?  Has anything good (or even funny) stood out to you that you could tell us about?  Any special experience you could share?  Did your parents or grandparents worship here?  Any memories or stories are welcome.  Please write your memories down and place them in the ‘church’ in the hallway under the trophy case on the way to coffee.  If you would rather one of the committee members would come over to your house and hear your stories and write them down for you, please contact any of us.  Committee members are: Roger and Donna Knip, Chuck and Lynn Liebbe, Ralph and Ardy Myers, Brian and Stacy Hoffman.  We are also open to hear suggestions and feedback you have for us.  We want this to be an epic celebration giving honor and glory to God for His faithfulness!

CAMP MANITOQUA REGISTRATION FOR 2020 IS OPEN!  This year’s theme is “Courageous” based on Joshua 1:9. Church will again pay 2/3 for members and non-member friends.  You can register at manitoqua.org.  Informational brochures are available in the kitchen window.  Please call the church office for the coupon code.  Camp spaces fill up incredibly fast, so registering ASAP is essential to get your first date selection.
