THE WORLD VISION GLOBAL 6K IS QUICKLY APPROACHING!
6 Kilometers is the average distance people in the developing world walk for water - water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. On Saturday, May 22, thousands of people from around the globe will walk or run 6K to bring life-changing clean water to communities in need. Each participant's registration fee provides life-changing clean water for one person, so when you participate in the Global 6K, you take that distance away from people in need. This year, there are two ways to participate. You may choose to do the race on your own at the time and location of your choice OR we plan to do it as a group beginning and ending at church (time to be determined). This will be an informal event. Online registration is open through demottearc.com under the "ministries" tab. Race Fee: $50 for adults; $25 for age 17 and under. Once registered, you will receive your race packet in the mail. We hope you will consider joining us to move our feet for clean water!
TO ALL OUR VETERANS, if you have not in previous years submitted pictures for our Memorial weekend presentation, please turn in one military picture and one more contemporary picture to Tim Sietsma’s mailbox or email them to tim.sietsma@gmail.com. When emailing Tim, please put “Memorial Day Presentation” in the subject field. Also, please be sure to include the correct name spelling of the service person. The deadline to turn pictures/info in is Sunday, May 16. We also ask that you check the list posted by the church office for accuracy in listing all our veterans and those currently serving our nation.
IF YOU HAVE someone graduating this year from college, high school or eighth grade, please contact the church office with his or her name and school.

The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” You can register online for one of their day or overnight camps at manitoqua.org. WALK-A-THON 2021: DMCS’ annual Walk-A-Thon is on Friday, May 7 at Field of Dreams Park. We’re so excited to raise money this year to continue building improvements by upgrading the playground areas and repurposing the computer lab into a classroom at DMC! This year has presented a unique set of challenges, but our students and staff have walked through them with faith and perseverance. We are using this year’s Walk-A-Thon to celebrate all that God has seen us through, so we have chosen the theme, “WALK IN FAITH”. Our theme verse II Corinthians 5:7 says, “We walk by faith, not by sight.” We are so grateful for our supporters like you, who have prayerfully helped carry us through this year. Our goal is to raise $18,000. Just contact any DMC student to sponsor them! You may also mail a check to DMC at PO Box 430, DeMotte, IN 46310; or donate online by clicking the “donate” link on our school website: www.demottechristianschools.org.

THANK YOU to everyone who donated items and volunteered at the Spring Rummage Sale! Thank you to all the volunteers who came to help set up, run the sale, and make this fundraiser possible. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we greatly appreciate the time you gave to help! Thanks to our shoppers, too - we had record-breaking profits after a year and a half with no rummage sale! Our schools were so blessed by your generosity.
