The Engagement of Baptism to Will & Max Nanninga

Sunday was a very special and memorable day as Troy and I presented our twin sons, William Alan and Maxwell Keith, for baptism. The service was a great celebration of God's sign and seal to our sons that He will be faithful to them and love them unconditionally. The sacrament of baptism really fit well with the sermon series "Renew."

One of the special elements of the service was the water that was used. When Troy was in seminary he took a trip to Israel. During that trip they visited the Jordan River, and he brought back a bottle of water from the river. He hoped that one day he would be able to baptize his children with that water. And that hope came to fruition nearly 20 years later. What a joy and honor it was to watch Troy baptize Will and Max and to celebrate with so many family and friends. We continue to be humbled by the support we receive from family, friends, and our church family. God is faithful through the good times and the hard times.
