TODAY’S MEETING

9:30 A.M.  MORNING WORSHIP

THE REGULAR OFFERING will be received for the General Fund.

9:30 A.M.  CHILDREN’S CHURCH for kids 3 years old through 5th grade will meet in the Promiseland Area.

10:45 – 11:45 A.M.  SUNDAY SCHOOL for all ages.

(Parents:  please pick your child up in his/her classroom.)   

  3 yr. old – 12th grade will meet in their respective classrooms.

  CURRENT EVENTS:  A group that discusses current events will meet in the Cry Room.

Nursery is available upon request. 

5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  MOVEMENT YOUTH MINISTRY will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

6:00 P.M.  PRAYER/BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet in the Consistory Room.

WEEKLY MEETINGS

MONDAY – April 1

1:00 P.M.  FELLOWSHIP CIRCLE will meet in the Fireside Room.  Donna Knip will lead the lesson.  Bonnie Sanow will have devotions and Grace Graefnitz and Ellen Kenning will host.

7:00 P.M.  CONSISTORY will meet in the Consistory Room.  Those who would like to request baptism or make profession of faith in Christ are invited to meet with the elders at 7:30 P.M.

TUESDAY – April 2

6:30 P.M.  FAITHFIT YOGA will be in the Fellowship Hall.

5:15 – 6:30 P.M.  Come enjoy a delicious chicken dinner and help support Movement Youth Group!

  5:30 P.M.  WORSHIP COMMITTEE will meet in the Cry Room.  

6:00 – 7:30 P.M.  FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY will meet in the Consistory Room.

6:00 P.M.  FOOD BACKPACKS will be stuffed in the Fellowship Hall.

 WORLD VISION GLOBAL 6K6 Kilometers is the average distance people in the developing world walk for water - water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. On Saturday, May 4th, thousands of people from around the globe will walk or run 6K to bring life-changing clean water to communities in need. Each participant's $50 registration fee provides life-changing clean water for one person, so when you participate in the Global 6K you take that distance away from people in need. ARC is a host site for the 6K!  Register at the table in the Fellowship Hall today or register through our church website! 

WE ARE TURNING 100!  Next Year, ARC will be celebrating its 100th year since being founded in 1920!  A committee has formed to help us celebrate.  Stay tuned…

MOVEMENT YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • “Forward” High School summer Trip dates are June 23-29.   Your $50 deposit can be paid to Pastor Rob. 

COMING IN APRIL!  The ARC Newsletter will be back!  Check your mailboxes in April for the first issue and the ARC website and Facebook page for new content!  Committee members are still needed to help with gathering information.  If interested, contact Roy Gouwens, Stacy Hoffman, of Katlyn Kohlhagen.

HELP GET CAMP MANITOQUA READY for their 2019 camp season!  Every year, a group from ARC goes to Manitoqua for a day and works on projects to help prepare the grounds for the summer.  The work day for this year is Saturday, April 27, 9:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.  Lunch is provided.  If you are interested in coming along, please contact Chuck Liebbe at (219) 741-7461. 

CHURCH DIRECTORIES were recently placed in mailboxes for all who had photos taken with Lifetouch.  If you didn’t receive a printed directory and would like one, they can be purchased from the church office for $10.00.

CAMP MANITOQUA REGISTRATION FOR 2019 IS OPEN!     This year’s theme is “Imago Dei:  The Image of God” based on Isaiah 43:1. Church will again pay 2/3 for members and non-members.  You can register online at manitoqua.org.  Informational brochures are available in the kitchen window.  Please call the church office for the coupon code. 

 OTHER REQUESTED ANNOUNCEMENTS

 JOIN US FOR DINNER ON THE COURT!  Come on out to the DMC gym on April 1, 2019 from 5-7 and have dinner on the court with your favorite volleyball players.  We will be serving grilled chicken sandwiches, BBQ beans, and side salads.  The food will be delicious; you don't want to miss it!  There will be a free will donation taken at the door.  Dine in or carry out!  Proceeds will help fund 38 DMC and CCHS volleyball players who plan to attend 4 day team camp in June. 

ANNUAL SOCIETY MEETING:  DeMotte Christian Schools, Inc. strongly encourages you to attend the Annual Society Meeting on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:00pm at Covenant Christian High School

·   Society members will vote on the proposed advisory budget and new Board members.  The bylaws require that a member “be 18 years of age or older and have individually contributed a minimum of $50 to the school corporation in the 13 months prior to the publication of the agenda.”

·   If submitting an absentee ballot for Board member elections, a member must complete the election ballot and the member affirmation statement, place in a sealed envelope, sign the outside, and turn in to either school offices.

·   Society booklets will be available in the DMC and CCHS main offices.

CCHS THEATRE INVITATION:  Covenant Christian High School Theatre will present “The Music Man” on April 12 & 13 at 7:30pm.  The Music Man contains some of the most well-known and best-loved songs in a musical theatre, and is a family-friendly show.  Admission is by free will donation at the door; please join us!

THE ANNUAL SPRING LUNCHEON hosted by Bible League Volunteers is on Thursday, April 11 at 11:30 A.M. at Teibel’s Restaurant, Schererville, IN.  Special guests include Andrew Earnshaw from Bible League International and award winning Violinist, Katie Mattix.  See a BL Volunteer for tickets.  ($18.00/chicken or $22.00/perch).  Ticket deadline is Thursday, April 4.
