WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN EXPERIENCING life and school in a third world country with your family?  We have an opportunity to spend a week at Jardin de Gracia, a Christian school in El Socorro, Honduras, July 25 – Aug. 1, 2020.  We would be playing with kids (grades K-8), assisting with simple building construction and maintenance, and experiencing life in another culture.  If you are interested, please talk to Liz Bayci or call her at 956-9164.  (Children 12 and older are welcome along with a parent or guardian.)

KIDS HOPE USAWe are excited to continue building relationships with the students, teachers and staff at DeMotte Elementary and KV Intermediate Schools.  Last year was a great school year, and we are confident we will need more mentors who can invest one hour each week in the life of one child.  Training is provided.  Will you be the one to help change the life of a child?  If you are interested in being a mentor, substitute mentor or prayer partner, please pick up an application packet from the table by the kitchen.  Completed applications can be returned directly to Kara Nanninga or Heather Veld or put in either of their mailboxes.  Questions?  Talk to or email Kara (kara.bruxvoort@gmail.com; 219-805-9926) or Heather (veldheather@yahoo.com; 219-869-3403).

DUTCH APPLE PIES ARE BACK!  The Bible League will be again selling our delicious apple pies for $11.00.  Proceeds from the pies will help fund African Translations so people in Africa who are hungering for God's Word can have a Bible in their own language.  The order deadline is September 29, 2019 with delivery pickup on October 16 between 3:00-5:00 P.M.  We are asking for all to support this project with your prayers.  Also, if anyone can help make pies on October 14 and/or 15 please let us know.... if you can come for only a couple of hours at a time, please help us out. Order forms are in your mailboxes today with extra forms on the table across from the kitchen!

“WOW!  We had another amazing Back to School Fair.  We just wanted to send a long overdue THANK YOU to each one of you for making it such a success.  We live in an incredible community, which is evident when you witness something like the Back to School Fair.  It’s at events like this that our town is at its very best.  From those who donate supplies, money, or time to those who, with gratitude, come to receive those supplies donated, we are thankful for you all.  From the bottom of our entire committee’s hearts we say thank you and hope that you will continue to partner with us for years to come.”

Blessings, The Back to School Fair Committee
