12:30 P.M.  HOPE CIRCLE will meet in the Fireside Room.  Pennie Martin will lead the lesson, Lorri Owsley will have devotions/spiritual life thought, and Lucile Bozell and Ann Van Schepen will host.

7:00 P.M.  CONSISTORY will meet in the Consistory Room.  Those who would like to request baptism or make profession of faith in Christ are invited to meet with the elders at 7:30 P.M.

WEDNESDAY – September 11

1:30 – 3:00 P.M.  NIFTY NEEDLES will meet in the Fireside Room.

NEXT LORD’S DAY – September 15

5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  MOVEMENT will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

CONSISTORY NOMINATION BALLOTS were placed in your mailbox last week.  Those ballots need to be returned by Sunday, October 6.  They can be placed in an envelope and handed to an elder as you leave worship or dropped off in the nomination box in the church office window. 

IT’S ALMOST THAT TIME AGAIN!  Dartball season is coming!  We have a sign-up sheet in the hallway across from the Fireside Room.  If you’re interested but have questions, you can talk to Jeff Liebbe or Josh Luedtke.  Looking forward to having you on our team!

 FAMILY NIGHT DINNERS begin September 18!  Join us every Wednesday evening for a home-cooked meal and a chance to relax and enjoy family and friends.  Dinner will be served from 5:15 – 6:30 P.M.  Free will contributions are welcome.

  • Make sure you sign up your 4-some on the sign-up sheet near the kitchen by September 15! Many signed up on the interest sheet posted a couple of months ago; however, we do need you to sign up again so we know for sure who will be playing and their team members. J

  • Everyone is welcome to play - ARC members...guests... all ages...and golf abilities!

A SIGN UP SHEET in posted down by the kitchen for those who would like to help at our next Mobile Food Pantry set for Friday, September 27.   We need volunteers to help that day with various jobs such as working in the kitchen, helping with registration, and helping clients carry food to their cars.  Also, we need baked goods to serve.  All help is so appreciated!

COMING SOON!  Discipleship Essentials Bible Study starts Sunday, September 22 (6:00 – 7:00 P.M.).  Childcare provided.  Some of the topics: Quiet time, Bible Study, Prayer, Worship, Trinity, Sin, Grace, Redemption, Justification, Adoption, Filled with the Spirit, Fruit of the Spirit, Trust, Love, Justice, Witness, The Church, Ministry Gifts, Spiritual Warfare, Walking in Obedience, and Money.  There is a sign up sheet by the kitchen (so we know how many books are needed).  Talk to Roy Gouwens with questions (219-730-0591)

CALLING ALL MEN!  Men’s Life fall season program begins Saturday, September 28, (6:00 – 7:30 A.M.) with a pancake breakfast.  We have an exciting program lines up “How to Read the Bible” video series by Michael Defazio.  Each week, men meet together to: learn from God’s Word, have great fellowship and sharing, and spend time in prayer.  All men are welcome.  Sign up on the sheet in the hall by the kitchen.  See Roger Knip, Keith Poole, or Roy Gouwens for more information. 

 WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN EXPERIENCING life and school in a third world country with your family?  We have an opportunity to spend a week at Jardin de Gracia, a Christian school in El Socorro, Honduras, July 25 – Aug. 1, 2020.  We would be playing with kids (grades K-8), assisting with simple building construction and maintenance, and experiencing life in another culture.  If you are interested, please talk to Liz Bayci or call her at 956-9164.  (Children 12 and older are welcome along with a parent or guardian.)

DUTCH APPLE PIES ARE BACK!  The Bible League will be again selling our delicious apple pies for $11.00.  Proceeds from the pies will help fund African Translations so people in Africa who are hungering for God's Word can have a Bible in their own language.  The order deadline is September 29, 2019 with delivery pickup on October 16 between 3:00-5:00 P.M.  We are asking for all to support this project with your prayers.  Also, if anyone can help make pies on October 14 and/or 15 please let us know.... if you can come for only a couple of hours at a time, please help us out. Order forms were placed in mailboxes with extra forms on the table across from the kitchen.

THE 31st ANNUAL WALK FOR LIFE hosted by the Women’s Center will take place on Saturday, September 21 at 9:00 A.M. at Spencer Park.  Walker registration/pledge forms are located on the table across from the kitchen on your way to coffee.

TRAINING CONTINUES!  Please continue to pray for our runners as they train for the Indy Monumental Marathon and Half Marathon in November.  They are working with Team World Vision to help raise money for clean water for communities in need in underdeveloped countries.  If you’d like to donate, go online to Team World Vision and search American Reformed Church.  You can donate on behalf of a specific runner or the team as a whole.
