REASON FOR THE SEASON 5K RUN/WALK

THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28!

8:00 - 8:30 ROLLING START TIME

We are happy to continue our Thanksgiving Weekend tradition of the Reason for the Season 5k... but, it will look a little different in 2020.  We are keeping it as safe as possible for participants and volunteers, while still enabling us to help provide much needed food for the Backpack Ministry.

There will be a rolling start time.  Participants will grab their race packet, attach their chipped timing bib, and start their race!   There will be no opening announcements or awards ceremony. Age group awards will be mailed.  All are asked to wear a mask until arriving at the start line. It can then be removed for your race.

After crossing the finish line, participants can grab a donut and go!

The Kids Fun Run has been cancelled

to eliminate wait times and group gathering.

DEAR ARC FRIENDS, Thank you for the love you've expressed to me (and for George) since his death and heavenly homecoming.  It's been so good to hear from you through cards, emails and phone calls. Your promises of prayer give me great peace and comfort.  Our time spent in DeMotte was very special to George and I will treasure those memories and your friendship forever.”  – Joyce Magee

I WOULD LIKE to thank all of you who sent cards, prayers, phone calls, well wishes or reached out in any other way during my recent hospitalization and recovery. Let me say everything was so greatly appreciated.  Thank you all so much.” – Phil Moolenaar

ANGEL TREE TAGS for the children of K.V. School Corp. are available in the Fellowship Hall today!  There is great need as many families are struggling for the first time this year.  We hope you’ll consider helping in this way.  Wrapped gifts can be placed in the brown paper bags provided and please be sure to leave the tags attached.  Also, make sure to sign you name on the sign up sheet under the tag number you have taken.  All gifts are due back by Wednesday, December 9 and can be placed in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you!

SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGERS NEEDED!  The KVMA is again this year coordinating a special mission of mercy outreach.  We will partner with the Salvation Army by placing a bucket at Tysen’s Grocery.  Our church has been asked to fill the bell ringer schedule for Sat., Dec. 12.  A signup sheet for one hour slots beginning at 9:00 A.M. and running through 7:00 P.M. is posted in the church office window. There will be sanitizing wipes available for bell ringers and masks are required.

WOULD YOU LIKE to receive ARC updates and cancellation info via text message?  Just text @demottearc to 81010 to sign up!

HAVE YOU NOTICED the new look in the church kitchen? We've been hard at work remodeling the kitchen and hallway over the past few months.  A new window and exterior door were installed, as well as new countertops, sinks, cabinets, ceiling, flooring, and hardware.  The walls and our existing cabinets were painted.  As the project is just about complete, we are happy with the new look and functionality of the space. If you would like to contribute to the cost of the project, you may do so by designating gifts in the church offering.   We are thankful for the generous donations we have already received.  Currently, we still have $15,300.00 left to cover the remaining costs.

DID YOU KNOW that American Reformed has online giving available?  It’s a convenient way to set up a one-time donation or recurring donations.  Just go to demottearc.com and click on “Donate” at the bottom of the home page to get started.

IF YOU KNOW of someone who needs help from Christians Helping Christians, please contact Bonnie Sanow (987-6252).
