ADVENT MESSAGE SERIES

November 29 thru December 20

ANGEL TREE TAGS for the children of K.V. School Corp. are available in the Fellowship Hall today!  There is great need as many families are struggling for the first time this year.  We hope you’ll consider helping in this way.  Wrapped gifts can be placed in the brown paper bags provided and please be sure to leave the tags attached.  Also, make sure to sign you name on the sign up sheet under the tag number you have taken.  All gifts are due back by Wednesday, December 9 and can be placed in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you!

SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGERS NEEDED!  The KVMA is again this year coordinating a special mission of mercy outreach.  We will partner with the Salvation Army by placing a bucket at Tysen’s Grocery.  Our church has been asked to fill the bell ringer schedule for Sat., Dec. 12.  A signup sheet for one hour slots beginning at 9:00 A.M. and running through 7:00 P.M. is posted in the church office window. There will be sanitizing wipes available for bell ringers and masks are required.

OUR FINAL MOBILE PANTRY FOR THIS YEAR will be on Friday, December 18.  This will again be a drive-through pantry due to Covid.  We will not open the building to the recipients, nor will we need baked goods or kitchen help.  We will need about 10 volunteers to help pack boxes outside.  Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:15.  Clients should arrive no earlier than 9:30.  If you would like to help, please sign up on the sheet in the kitchen window.

AT THIS TIME we would like to recognize those graduating mid-term from college.  If you know of someone, please call the church office this week.

WE WOULD LIKE to thank all those who have prayed for Ruth while she was in the hospital, sent cards, meals, and shown our family ways of kindness over this past month.  Also, to those who have donated to different charities in her name in her passing.  It was all so greatly appreciated.”  - Marv Peterson and Family

HAVE YOU NOTICED the new look in the church kitchen? We've been hard at work remodeling the kitchen and hallway over the past few months.  A new window and exterior door were installed, as well as new countertops, sinks, cabinets, ceiling, flooring, and hardware.  The walls and our existing cabinets were painted.  As the project is just about complete, we are happy with the new look and functionality of the space. If you would like to contribute to the cost of the project, you may do so by designating gifts in the church offering.   We are thankful for the generous donations we have already received.  Currently, we still have $15,300.00 left to cover the remaining costs.

DID YOU KNOW that American Reformed has online giving available?  It’s a convenient way to set up a one-time donation or recurring donations.  Just go to demottearc.com and click on “Donate” at the bottom of the home page to get started.

IF YOU KNOW of someone who needs help from Christians Helping Christians, please contact Bonnie Sanow (987-6252).
