 OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

WE ARE SO THANKFUL for the blessings we have received through the work of both Melissa and Pastor Rob.  There are baskets in the fellowship hall today for each of them for thank you notes or cards or words of encouragement as they continue to serve the Lord in a new capacity.  Note paper is also included on the table by the boxes if you forget to bring something but would like to contribute your messages and put them in the boxes.  There is also a box for Pastor Troy in appreciation of him and his year of hard work and service to our congregation!  All are welcome to the cake reception following this morning’s service.  Cake will be served in to-go containers if you wish to take it with you.

ELDER AND DEACON Installation and Ordination will take place next Sunday during worship.  Larry Hoffman, Dave Jolink, and Chuck Liebbe will be installed as Elders.  Jeff Fase will be installed as deacon and Keith Jolink and Pete Zeldenrust will be ordained and installed as deacons.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF BIBLE ADVENTURES KIDS:    We now have our weekly videos and take-home sheets available on our website!  This gives kids an opportunity to watch the video again at home or see videos they missed!  There are printable coloring pages for Pre-K/K and printable Take Home Sheets for 1st – 5th grade.  Visit demottearc.com and go to the Children’s Ministry page.  There, you will find a link to the content (please note that the content page is password protected; the password is “adventures”.  New lessons will be posted weekly!

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS SIGN UP:  Interested in serving as a nursery volunteer? If so, there is a sign-up sheet down by the kitchen. If you have any questions, please talk to or contact       Kara Nanninga 219-805-9926,  kara.bruxvoort@gmail.com).

CAN YOU HELP MOVEMENT WITH SNACKS?  Movement is again asking for snack donations.  They are running low on their supply.  Specifically, they are asking for individually wrapped snacks due to Covid-19 precautions.  Individual sized chips, candy, Hostess or Little Debbie snacks, cases of pop/water/juice, etc. would be great!  This helps lessen the expense of providing snacks by families and Movement.  All donations can be dropped off in the church office anytime.

WE WISH TO CONGRATULATE Kevin Van Kley on his recent accolade.  Lt. Van Kley was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Porter County Sheriff’s Office for his heroic actions while assisting the Porter Fire Department in an active house fire.  This is only the third time in the history of the Department that the Medal of Honor has been awarded to an Officer.  Congratulations, Kevin!  Be sure to check out the Facebook post made by the Porter County Sheriff’s office which posted on the bulletin board on your way to the Fellowship Hall.

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK everyone for their prayers and cards in the passing of Marv’s mother, they were much appreciated.”                –  Marv & Lola Arnett
