7:00 P.M.  CONSISTORY will meet.  Those who would like to request baptism or make profession of faith in Christ are invited to meet with the elders at 7:30 P.M.

6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.  FAITHFIT YOGA will be in the Fellowship Hall.  Join us for this as we all get back into our practice together! Bring your old passes if you still have them! We can’t wait to see you all there!

 ♦ Dan Sipkema was involved in an accident driving a grain cart while harvesting on Wednesday.  He is currently a patient at Franciscan Crown Point receiving treatment for a dislocated thumb, fractured ribs, and a collapsed lung. 

♦ Lorraine Henrichs was a patient in Northwest Health this past week and has returned home.

 BEGINNING TODAY!  We are excited to begin a new educational opportunity for our 4th/5th grade kids! We are offering a new class during Promiseland time with different material designed specifically for this age group. Kids are dismissed to go downstairs during the last song of our opening songs.

WE ARE ONCE AGAIN OFFERING Kids Hope at DeMotte Elementary school this school year.  If you have already been trained as a mentor, please let Heather Veld or Pastor Troy know if you are interested in mentoring this year.  

WE ALSO HAVE A LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY for someone to co-lead Kids Hope with Heather.  We are looking for someone who can handle the administrative and communications for our Kids Hope ministry.  This will include creating schedules, emailing teachers and mentors, and coordinating trainings.  If you are interested, please talk to Heather Veld or Pastor Troy.

THE RACE IS GETTING CLOSER!  We are working hard to bring clean water to communities in need in underdeveloped countries through Team World Vision.  We will participate in the Indy Monumental Marathon on November 6 and appreciate all donations for clean water.  You can donate on behalf of a specific runner or give a gift to the ARC Team as a whole by designating gifts in the offering or going to teamworldvision.org and searching American Reformed Church.  You can also support us by keeping us in your prayers as we train and praying for all who are in desperate need of clean water.

FRESH FRUIT SALE:  We’re excited to announce our inaugural Thanksgiving Fruit Sale has begun! This is a great opportunity to order some fresh fruit for the holidays. They offer fresh Florida oranges, mandarins, pears, and grapefruit. The sale ends tomorrow, October 4, and the fruit will be delivered the week of November 15. MIDDLE SCHOOL COACHES SOUGHTDeMotte Christian is looking for basketball coaches for the middle school level.  We have openings for boys’ teams and girls’ teams.  Please email athletic director, James Blom, at jblom@dmcsemail.org at your earliest convenience if you are interested in more information about these opportunities.

PINT-SIZE HERO RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE:  DMC is sponsoring an October blood drive on October 28 at the Keener Township Fire Department from 1:00 - 6:00 P.M.  

RUMMAGE SALE:  DMCS invites everyone to their Fall Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 16 from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. in the Covenant Christian High School gym.  Only $7 per bag from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., and $2 per bag from 12:00 -1:00 P.M. To donate clean, gently used items for the sale, please bring them on Thursday, October 14 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the back door or Friday, October 15 from 8:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the front door. Volunteers are needed to set up and sort on Thursday from 2:00 – 7:00 P.M. or Friday from 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. Please call CCHS’s office at 219-987-7651 to sign up.
