MONDAY – September 13
7:00 P.M. CONSISTORY will meet. Those who would like to request baptism or make profession of faith in Christ are invited to meet with the elders at 7:30 P.M.
TUESDAY – September 14
10:00 A.M. PRAYER FOR REVITALIZATION will take place in the Consistory Room. Pastor Troy will lead a time of prayer (about 30 minutes) for the revitalization process of ARC. We encourage all to come participate!
WEDNESDAY – September 15
1:30 – 3:00 P.M. NIFTY NEEDLES will meet in the Fireside Room. We meet to make prayer shawls or work on our own projects. Yarn is available for use in making prayer shawls. This will be our first meeting since the start of covid and we are excited to see everyone again! All are welcome to join us!

♦ Maryann Mehan’s treatment is going well so far. She is on maintenance therapy with chemo and immunotherapy for two years if it continues to work to control the cancer. She wishes to thank everyone for the prayers and cards. It always makes her feel so good when she hears from her church family. Please continue to keep Maryann in your prayers.
♦ Harold Sills has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently receiving treatment. Please pray for the treatment to be effective and for comfort and peace for Harold and Bonnie and their family.
♦ Julie Hoffman had knee replacement surgery on Thursday. It went well and she is recovering at home.

WE WANT TO INVITE YOU to a special town hall meeting to hear a report on the work of the Transition Team and a picture of the future we believe God is calling us to.
There will be two identical meetings.
The first will be next Sunday, Sept. 19, from 10:45 - 11:45 A.M. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall and serve donuts and coffee. Childcare will be provided in the nursery to make it easier for people to attend.
The second will be Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M.
It will once again meet in the Fellowship Hall. We will offer pizza and drinks and childcare will once again be provided in the nursery.
We do ask that you RSVP with the church office if you are coming to the September 22 meeting, so we know how much pizza to order. Please RSVP by that Monday (Sept. 20).
We hope you will attend one of these meetings to hear all the exciting things the Transition Team has been working on and the ways we see God leading into the future He has in store for us!
CONGRATULATIONS to Kevin & Lindsey Broertjes on the birth of their son, Wyatt David. Wyatt was born on Thursday, September 2. To help them get settled at home and begin to adjust to a family of five, a meal train has been started for them. The link can be found on the church’s Facebook page or you can call the church office to get signed up! Let's show them some love and some meals!
OUR NEXT MOBILE FOOD PANTRY will be on Friday, September 24. We will need about 10 volunteers to help pack boxes outside for the drive-thru pantry. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:15 A.M. Clients should arrive no earlier than 9:30 A.M. If you would like to help, please sign up on the sheet in the kitchen window.
WE ARE EXCITED to be able to once again offer Kids Hope at DeMotte Elementary school this school year. If you have already been trained as a mentor, please let Heather Veld or Pastor Troy know if you are interested in mentoring this year.
WE ALSO HAVE A LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY for someone to co-lead Kids Hope with Heather. We are looking for someone who can handle the administrative and communications for our Kids Hope ministry. This will include creating schedules, emailing teachers and mentors, and coordinating trainings. If you are interested, please talk to Heather Veld or Pastor Troy.
JOY CIRCLE MEMBERS, after a long hiatus, we will plan to meet Sept. 27 to discuss what we want to do regarding our Bible Study group. It will be wonderful to see everyone there.
TRAINING CONTINUES! We are working hard to bring clean water to communities in need in underdeveloped countries through Team World Vision. We will participate in the Indy Monumental Marathon on November 6 and appreciate all donations for clean water. You can donate on behalf of a specific runner or give a gift to the ARC Team as a whole by designating gifts in the offering or going to teamworldvision.org and searching American Reformed Church. You can also support us by keeping us in your prayers as we train and praying for all who are in desperate need of clean water.

There are printable coloring pages for Pre-K/K and printable Take Home Sheets for 1st – 5th grade. Visit demottearc.com and go to the Children’s Ministry page. DUTCH APPLE PIES ARE BACK! The Bible League will be again selling their delicious apple pies for $12.00. Proceeds from the pies will help fund African Translations so people in Africa who are hungering for God's Word can have a Bible in their own language. The order deadline is next Sunday, September 19, with delivery pickup on October 13 between 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. Order forms with payment can be placed in Stacy Hoffman’s mailbox. We are asking for all to support this project with your prayers. Also, if anyone can help make pies on October 11 and/or 12 please let us know.... if you can come for only a couple of hours at a time, please help us out. Order forms are in your mailboxes today with extra forms available in the kitchen window.

PINT-SIZE HERO RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE: DMC is sponsoring an October blood drive on October 28 at the Keener Township Fire Department from 1:00 – 6:00 P.M. More details to follow!
ON SEPTEMBER 25, Bible League Volunteers will host a morning conference for you called Spreading the Fragrance of Life. You will be enriched with spiritual encouragement as Dr. Lynn Wilder, former Mormon now Bible-believing Christian speaks in multiple sessions. Also joining the conference is Pastor Thony Ronaldo from Indonesia, to give you an opportunity to partner in providing Scripture engagement around the world, an offering will be taken for Bible League International ministry.
