Sunday:          Pray for our church

Monday:         Pray for your family

Tuesday:        Pray for our community

Wednesday:   Pray for our region

Thursday:      Pray for missionaries

Friday:           Pray for confession and forgiveness

Saturday       Free day (pray as you feel led)

We are eager to see how God will use this season of prayer to make a big Kingdom impact!

ATTENTION SINGERS!  PRACTICE BEGINS TODAY for the Christmas Choir!  This group will meet each week at 11:30 A.M. on Sunday for practice, and will share a song each Sunday during the Advent season beginning on November 25.  If you would like to be part of the Christmas Choir, join us today!  This group is open to anyone from 3rd grade – senior adults.  No experience necessary!

JOIN THE SOUND TEAM!  The Sound Team is looking for some new volunteers to help serve on Sundays and Wednesdays!  The Sound Team plays an important role in the worship service by working to make sure all music and voices are heard well.  Sound team members usually serve once a month by running all sound equipment for Wednesday night band practice and Sunday morning worship.  No training?  No problem!  We will be having a workshop after church on November 18, where two professional sound technicians will teach about how to run the sound equipment.  Anyone interested in joining the sound team can come to the workshop and see what running sound is all about!  Lunch will be provided – please RSVP to Brittany Janiszewski at brittany@demottearc.com by 11/14 if you would like to attend.             For more information, contact Brittany Janiszewski or Dave Kampenga.

THANK YOU to everyone for the expressions of sympathy after Mom's recent transition from earth to eternal life with her Lord and Savior.  She had prayed often for Him to take her home! What rejoicing when her wishes finally became reality.

All the cards & expressions are so appreciated. As were visits and inquiries into how she was doing over her time at Oak Grove and especially during hospitalizations, which became more frequent the past year.

When Pastor Dan left Mom became very sad because she felt she had lost all contact with the church.  Then Pastor Troy made special effort to become acquainted and she was so pleased to again feel a true part of ARC.  He recently also brought Pastor Rob over to Oak Grove to meet her - she also appreciated that so much!

Then there's Max & Will.  They are her "Birthday Buddies"!  Pastor Troy & Kara visited Mom on her birthday after a routine doctor's appointment, then to everyone's surprise, Kara went into labor & delivered the babies that night!  Mom was thrilled!  She also made it to church to witness their baptism - for that she was overjoyed!

So thank you to everyone. It is all so appreciated!

                                                          – The Family of Jean Peterson”

THANK YOU for the recent financial gift designated for me in the offering.  Your kindness means so much.”  - Theresa Mak

THE BIBLE LEAGUE had another successful year to enable $13,646.00 to be given to our global project, placing 2,729 Bibles where needed.  1,285 pies were made by many faithful volunteers.  Thank you to all who supported the Apple Pie project again this year through volunteering, donations, prayers and purchasing pies to support us.  We plan to continue next October! “

Let’s Get Together!

The new Fall season has begun at ARC.  The “Get Together” program is ready for new hosts and  repeat hosts to hold gatherings.  Have you considered hosting?  The program is in need of additional hosts in order to reach a greater amount of people.  The purpose of “Get Together” is to strengthen ties with other ARC members, welcome newcomers and engage in fellowship and fun.

How does it work?

·        STEP ONE: Hosts volunteer by filling out a form found in the Get Together tray on the table by the kitchen or by calling/texting Kristi (219-964-9957 or 987-5195) or Donna (219-730-9824 or 987-4289).  Get togethers can be as simple or as involved as the host desires… bonfire, pizza night, carry-in dinner, coffee and cards… whatever’s comfortable!

·        STEP TWO:  The committee compiles a mix of people for a one-time get together for the host      matching the type of gathering the host would like to hold and gives the host invitations to fill out.

·        STEP THREE: The hosts fill out the invitations and put them in mailboxes.

·        STEP FOUR:  Guests reply to hosts.  This is important for the hosts so they know how many to plan on.  When you receive info about a Get Together, please let the host know whether or not you will be attending.

·        STEP FIVE:  The group Gets Together and enjoy some time with one another!

What a blessing to be part of the family of God here at ARC!                                                                             Let’s be deliberate about forming relationships and intentional in showing interest in one another.  Let’s Get Together!

WOULD YOU LIKE to receive ARC updates and cancellation info via text message?  Now you can!  Just text @demottearc to 81010 to sign up!
