CHILDREN’S CHURCH LEADERS NEEDED: We are looking for a few leaders to teach during Children’s Church. We need 2 leaders for our older group (2nd-5th grade) and one for our younger group (3 years old – 1st grade). Leaders are asked to lead once every 6 weeks with teaching material provided. This is definitely a fun and important way to invest in the youth of ARC! If you are interested, please contact Amber Hart (987-2216) or Stacy Hoffman (869-8114) or email the church office (office@demottearc.com).
KIDS HOPE USA: We are excited to continue building relationships with the students, teachers and staff at DeMotte Elementary and KV Intermediate Schools. Last year was a great school year, and we are confident we will need more mentors who can invest one hour each week in the life of one child. Training is provided. Will you be the one to help change the life of a child? If you are interested in being a mentor, substitute mentor or prayer partner, please pick up an application packet from the table by the kitchen. Completed applications can be returned directly to Kara Nanninga or Heather Veld or put in either of their mailboxes. Questions? YOU ARE INVITED TO DINNER! The church campout campers invite everyone to join them on Saturday, August 2 at 5:30 (Eastern Time) at Potato Creek State Park for dinner! Even if you aren’t camping with them for the weekend, you are invited to join them for the meal. Beef brisket will be provided (Yum!) and all are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Please give Leslie Tysen (219-863-3822) a call with any questions or to give her a heads up that you plan to attend.

HIT, RUN, SCORE! Let’s go to a RailCats Game! We plan to go to the game on August 2 @ 7:10 P.M. This will be fun for the whole family! If you’d like to claim tickets, sign up by the kitchen ASAP so that we can set some aside for you. Tickets are $13 each which includes a $5 voucher to purchase concessions and the deadline to sign up is next Sunday, July 28.
LET’S GET TOGETHER IS BACK! The Get Together program is designed to strengthen ties and promote fellowship and unity. They are one time get-togethers with a group of people from our church. They are also a great opportunity to invite newcomers who would like to meet a group of ARC people. Hosts choose the theme of the get-together: taco night, bonfire, cards, pizza, cookout, potluck, game night...! The committee will help generate a list of people and give invitations to the hosts to fill out and put in mailboxes. If one shows up in your mailboxes and it works out for you, join the fun! Thank you to those who have hosted events! More hosts are needed. If you would like to consider hosting, please call or text Kristi at 987-5195 or 219-964-9957 or Donna at 987-4289 or 219-739-9824 or pick up the information on the table in the kitchen hallway, fill out the host volunteer form and put it back in the tray marked “Get Together”. Let’s be deliberate in growing together as an ARC family.
IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO JUMP IN! Have you thought about running or walking for Team World Vision? We would LOVE to have you with us as we bring clean water to communities in need in underdeveloped countries. The images and the thought of children and people suffering for lack of clean water and the joyful images of those who have received the gift of clean water from World Vision is why we do this. Consider participating by running (or walking) a Half or running a Full Marathon – or supporting Team World Vision by contributing to an individual runner or the team. We will participate in the Indy Monumental Marathon on November 9. Team World Vision Half / Full Marathon training is underway! Optional group runs take place on Saturdays at 6:00 A.M. at Dairy Queen (we train with members of Grace Fellowship). They are beneficial for team relations and support! ARC currently has 15 members registered to run or walk, so we would love to have you help build our team. You can register at teamworldvision.org (search American Reformed Church once on the site). You can also speak with Team Captain, Kevin Nelms or any team member to learn more.
PASTOR ROB is currently on vacation and will return to the office on Tuesday, July 30.
